Your MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship at KU Leuven?

Are you a post-doctoral researcher thinking about your next career move? The Marie Sklodowska-Curie (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships may be just right for you. These fellowships fund researchers looking to enhance their career development and prospects by working abroad. KU Leuven - being one of the leading European universities - allows you to work in a first class research environment while benefitting from an attractive remuneration package.

The MSCA Postdoctoral fellowships

There are two types of Postdoctoral Fellowships:

EUROPEAN FELLOWSHIPS
GLOBAL FELLOWSHIPS
  • For postdoctoral research stays (one to two years) outside Europe for researchers based in a EU Member State or an associated country.
  • There is a mandatory one year return period to the host institute in Europe.

In both fellowships, secondment(s) can be included to another organisation in any country worldwide (maximum one third of the duration). In addition, a placement can be added at the end of your project with a non-academic partner for maximum 6 months (extending the duration of the fellowship). The placement should be added in your proposal (cannot be added during the project).

Who can apply?

  • Promising researchers (PhD holders) from anywhere in the world: all nationalities can apply.
  • Mobility is a must: you have to come to Europe, move within Europe or move outside of Europe.
  • All areas of research.

The grant provides an allowance to cover your living, travel and family costs. The research costs and overhead of the host institution(s) are also supported.

Next deadline: 13 September 2023
